20th November 2009 at 00:00

The Catholic Church in Scotland has launched a new website to promote Catholic adult education.

BeingCatholic.org is provided as a free resource by the Bishops' Conference of Scotland. The site contains three main sections: Praying our Faith, Learning our Faith and Sharing our Faith. They provide:

- scripture readings from the daily Mass;

- a three-minute online retreat;

- a thought for the day which can be downloaded to MP3 players;

- blogs and podcasts.

There are also links to the Vatican Radio and the Vatican YouTube websites, as well as to various Scottish Catholic agencies helping users to keep up to date with the latest news and views.
