Ready for her close-up ... all, er, six of them

So Katharine Birbalsingh, the seven-minute darling of the Tory party conference, is planning a so-called free school in Lambeth ("Birbalsingh plans free school", 22 April).

Does this explain why we were treated to at least five pictures of her in the 11 March issue of The TES, including two cover photos (magazine and main section) and one clever double mirror photo, which probably pushed the total to six? Is this a record, for any publication, for the number of pictures of a non-royal in one issue?

Paul Mackney, Vice-chair of the Coalition of Resistance and former general secretary of the National Association of Teachers in Further and Higher EducationUniversity and College Union.
