Research into success

RESEARCHERS are to pick their way through 10 years of studies into literacy across five countries to discover the secrets of the best teachers. Professor Kathy Hall, of Leeds Metropolitan University, has proposed a review of research on effective English literacy teachers after noting that investigations into a wide range of teaching methods have often concluded teachers are a significant factor in success.
