Return of the writer

A teacher-turned-children's author returned to her old school to lead a creative-writing workshop for KS4 pupils. Hayley Long's latest book, Lottie Biggs is (Not) Mad, is set in the Whitchurch area of Cardiff and takes the form of a piece of creative-writing coursework by the 14-year-old girl of the title. Ms Long read extracts to Year 10 pupils at Whitchurch High School and helped them improve their skills in preparation for GCSEs.
