Those on the lookout for a revision site should take a look at Revisiontime. It provides links to worthwhile sites, rather than those that have material clearly linked to the national curriculum.

Although the portal has separate links for GCSE and A-level subjects, many of the recommended sites overlap, so that the New Scientist, Nasa and Science Daily websites crop up repeatedly.

The portal does have links to conten-rich revision sites such as Bitesize and Sam Learning, which goes some way to make up for the limited number of links available.

Revisiontime is far from comprehensive but will be useful for students who have a burning interest in a particular subject and want to go further, rather than those desperately scouting around for ready-made answers for their homework questions. Visit the site at
