Rising interest

There has been a 43 per cent rise in people applying to be a maths teacher, 57 per cent for biology and 62 per cent for physics and a boom of 166 per cent for design and technology courses and 258 per cent for citizenship in England. But total applications have fallen by 0.2 per cent in Scotland and risen by 14.6 per cent in Wales.
