A total of 121 teams took part in the district qualifiers for the Scottish Rugby Union national age-grade championships for S1 and S2 pupils. Fifty teams took part in the Glasgow qualifier alone - the highest number in the 14 years of the competition.

Four teams qualified from each of the four regions - Edinburgh, Glasgow, Caledonia and Borders - for the first round of the competition, which will be held on February 15.
