Salisbury - Mini-marathon racers run for the hills

A team of children have clocked up the miles in training for a mini-marathon.

The Year 4 and 5 pupils from Woodford Valley CofE Primary School in Salisbury trained at least three times a week during their lunch hours and after school to prepare for the event.

Teaching assistant Louise Webber helped them to build up their fitness using the hills surrounding their school.

In total 1,400 other primary pupils from 36 schools around south Wiltshire and west Hampshire took part in the race last week. DM.
