Sats and sickness

Who is Jenny from Rainham? ("Ask a teacher", TES magazine, June 22.) She clearly has no idea why the headteacher in question felt obliged to have a sick Year 6 child take Sats in her room. Don't blame heads or parents: blame the system Ofsted enforces, which canes schools for not having the right Sats results.

Ofsted isn't interested in excuses. Change the system, then the sick child can stay in bed, where it belongs.
