School running costs

Annual tables on school running costs show exactly the same pattern as they have since first published eight years ago: high-cost island areas are most expensive while the lowest costs are incurred in areas like Ffe with very large schools. The average cost per primary pupil was pound;2,042, a rise of 5 per cent. Each secondary pupil cost pound;3,098, a 3 per cent increase.
