Schools to merge

Hull grammar school is to merge with Hull high school in a pound;6 million deal announced this week. A new co-educational private school will be opened on the site of the high school, in September 2005. The Church Schools Company, the educational charity which has owned Hull high school since 1890, is behind the merger.
