Transition metal jigsaw

What is it?

Pupils complete a jigsaw by matching up statements on 16 different cards. klanger designed this one for the OCR Gateway Science C3 section on transition metals.

How can it be used?

Cut out the 16 cards and ask pupils to construct the correct jigsaw in pairs or larger teams. The cards are already in the correct place to provide the correct solution, making checking answers easier. Try it at the end of a lesson or topic, as a starter to revisit content or for revision.

Why you will like it

It is a versatile activity designed to test knowledge. The levels can be varied for classes of different ability.
