(Photograph) - An exodus of players from school competitions could threaten the quality of national youth sides controlled by the Scottish Schools' Football Association. Players need to be nominated by schools and a number of teachers have indicated they will not submit pupils who do not play for the school team. "We could not justify international teams if the best players were excluded. We would have to modify the selection system so that, for example, clubs are allowed to nominate boys," John Watson, the association's general secretary, says
