Setting Up Nurseries

16th August 1996 at 01:00
A free booklet giving advice on setting up nurseries will be launched by the Government on Monday.

Building Blocks offers Department for Education and Employment tips on starting nurseries for under-fives.

The booklet also explains the new nursery voucher scheme which from April next year will offer all parents of four-year-olds Pounds 1,100 to spend at a nursery or playgroup of their choice.

The booklet also provides the names and addresses of organisations which can provide further advice on setting up a nursery.

Building Blocks: a guide to providing nursery education is available free from the Department for Education and Employment. Telephone the nursery voucher helpline on 0345 543345 from Monday for a copy.
