Sex advice for atheists

25th February 2000 at 00:00
THE churches' recommended advice to children, that "sexuality is a gift from God" (TES, February 11) may help those children who believe in God, but will mean nothing to the many who do not.

They need much more rational and realistic teaching abou relationships, based on respect for oneself and others that is the foundation of responsible choice, emotional well-being and moral values.
