Shame on GTC

26th June 2009 at 01:00

England's General Teaching Council has failed abysmally to take those steps within its gift to safeguard our children from the Nazi ideology of the BNP by de-registering BNP members who are teachers. It justifies this by hiding behind the same within-the-rules nonsense peddled by the BNP and expense-fiddling MPs.

The GTC had an opportunity to show that it is an organisation worthy of more than contempt - but it's either unwilling or lacking in courage to do so. Apart from the five members who publicly broke ranks, the GTC should be ashamed of its lack of moral fibre.
