Shed light on shackles

20th April 2007 at 01:00
The Government's Big Conversation 2007 in December will bring schools together to discuss the legacy of human trafficking. To be selected FOR WHAT?, teachers need to order a citizenship resource pack which, along with a calendar of key dates, poses questions about race, activism and citizenship. Pupils can then respond to these via the medium of a newspaper article, audio recording or short film.

The project is aimed at key stage 3 pupils and is being held to mark the bicentenary of the abolition of the slave trade.
