Sheffield College has been given the green light by the Further Education Funding Council for its new pound;2.5m centre at Crystal Peaks. It will serve the south east of Sheffield and forms part of an accommodation strategy that will ultimately see pound;10m invested over a five year period.

Close to a shopping mall it has been designed to allow for expansion at a later date. It will open next September and will offer an extensive portfolio of courses aimed at school leavers, including NVQs and GNVQs. There will also be a substantial programme for the adult market.
