Shephard to speak at ALL conference

The Association for Language Learning's annual conference and exhibition, Language World, 1995, will be held at the University of York, March 31 to April 3.

The guest speakers will include Education Secretary Gillian Shephard. There will also be talks, workshops and presentations for language teachersinall sectors - primary, secondary, A-level, further and higher education - and advisers and support staff.

The exhibition will include more than 70 displays of resources, books, dictionaries, information technology packages, open-learning materials, video equipment and presentations by exchange organisations, embassies and cultural institutes and travel companies.

Attendance at the conference is restricted to members of ALL and places are still available, but the exhibition is open to non-members free, Friday 15.00hrs to 17.00, Saturday 9.00 to 18.00, Sunday 9.00 to 18.00 and Monday 9.00 to 14.00.
