Short shrift

BREVITY is commendable, especially in official documents, but it is surprising that Chris Woodhead managed only half a page in response to the Commons education select committee's enquiries about his last annual report ("MPs tke hard line with chief inspector", TES, August 4).

I suspect that is not the end of it either. I bet they couldn't read his writing anyway.
