Your report on support staff last week does not reflect the average salaries of learning assistants and home link workers, at least not in West Dunbartonshire.

The average take home pay for a learning assistant is pound;550 per month as our salary is on a pro rata to term time basis, in contrast to the Pounds 11,000-pound;12,000 a year you quote. Home link workers are on Pounds 14,211-pound;15,204 per annum - not pound;28,000 As a Unison steward, I would be only too pleased to find out where you obtained these figures.
