Sir John Everett Millais 1829-1896

Millais was an infant prodigy. While still a teenager he became the founder member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. He was technically brilliant and after abandoning the Brotherhood he was much in demand as a popular society painter. He became President of the Royal Academy and was made a baronet.
