Spare a thought

I AM delighted to see teachers being offered a pay increase of 21 per cent spread over three years. A deal I expect the majority to accept.

At this time of relative euphoria I ask that they give a thought to those essential members of the school team the support staff, whic include janitors, office staff etc. They have been offered a paltry 6 per cent over two years. Many of these people have lost two or three days' pay in their fight for work.

How undervalued must they be feeling at this time?
