Speaking up

Bishopbriggs academy in East Dunbartonshire is celebrating a double victory in public speaking by one of its pupils. Calum Munro (S3) has won two public debating competitions in the past month, with a talk on "Manners Maketh Man". Last week, he won the Rotary Club Public Speaking Prize at Caledonian university in Glasgow for the second year running. In November, he won the Kirkintilloch Speakers award in a competition held for schools from East Dunbartonshire and Stirling.
