Sport - Vaulting to the front

Past and present staff and pupils of the Glasgow School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy are putting on a special exhibition, in the community space of Kelvingrove Art Gallery, as part of the school's 10th birthday celebrations.

Memorabilia spanning the last decade and the lives and stories of the people at the school - the successes and the challenges - are to be showcased in this free exhibition until November 8.

Bellahouston Academy believes it is making a significant contribution to Scottish sport. To date, more than 300 young people have been given the chance to excel in their chosen sport, with professional coaching at the school.

Ryan McKee, a former pupil, who features in the exhibition, is one of the gymnasts confirmed in the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games squad and is on target for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
