Sports co-ordinators in all Highland secondaries

23rd January 2004 at 00:00
* Sports co-ordinators in all Highland secondaries had a notable impact on activities, with S1 and S2 pupils most likely to take part. Boys do more than girls, although S1-S2 girls are catching up after teachers targeted specific activities at lunch breaks and after school.

But numbers fall off steadily throughout secondary with one school showing only 20 per cent of the S5-S6 roll taking part regularly.
