Sprightly tunes

If You Ever Meet a Dinosaur. By Camilla During. Boosey Hawkes Pounds 4.99.- 85162 128 7.

This is a little book of 20 new songs, with both piano accompaniments and guitar chords. The words are simple and sprightly, with odd infelicities - insects are "busy wee fellows". The tunes are unremarkable but pleasant and easy to learn. Subject matter ranges from pets and friends to a variety of sounds and music itself. The songs are clearly set out on the page and come with brief but serviceable suggestions for classroom performance and related activities and movement by infants and younger juniors.
