St Andrew's Day

29th October 2010 at 01:00

Nursery, primary and secondary pupils are invited to enter the Scottish Government's competition to design a St Andrew's Day poster on the theme "Scotland's Food and Drink". The A3 posters could explore where food comes from, the importance of health and well-being, or the wider benefits to business or the economy. It aims to encourage interdisciplinary learning around global citizenship. Posters will be judged not only on artistic merits, but also on how they explore these areas. The best entries will win pound;200 each for their schools, and be exhibited at the Scottish Parliament during the family weekend in the run- up to St Andrew's Day on November 30. Closing date is November 12.
