Stability for care pupils

28th March 2008 at 00:00
Pupils in care should not have their education disrupted by needless changes in placements, local authorities are being told this week. The call is one of a series of measures adopted after the TES Time to Care campaign helped persuade ministers to do more for the 60,000 children in care in England. A scheme to give looked-after children a "virtual head" to look out for their needs in every local cluster of schools is also being piloted.
