Stairheid Bloomer

13th February 1998 at 00:00
Speaking of moves, the GTC this week shifted office from its stately pile in the capital's Regent Terrace to Clerwood House in Corstorphine. We trust the portraits of previous conveners and vice-conveners that adorned the stairway will resurface, even although it must have stuck in the craw for GTC stalwarts to admire Keir Bloomer's mug every day.

The director of education in Clackmannan and former GTCvice-convener would happily cut the council down to size. It would be tragic for the historical record if one picture was to go missing in the move.
