Stars in their eyes

Musician Damon Albarn is one of the celebrities backing a bedtime reading campaign aimed at fathers. The Children's Society has put videos of stars reading bedtime stories on its YouTube channel and is inviting fathers to upload films of their own storytelling sessions for its Fantastic Fathers competition. The event ties in with the launch of a new animated movie, Fantastic Mr Fox, based on the Roald Dahl book. Reading expert Angela Cohen, of consultancy Ready To Learn, said: "It is especially vital for boys to see men in their families enjoying books so they don't think reading is just for girls." The video voted the best by the campaign's panel of judges will win a day trip for four to the Roald Dahl museum in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire.
