Stateside soup's as clear as mud

The FErret award for clarity in communication this week goes to media darlings across the pond.

From US-based DBC Public Relations, which has an office in Washington DC, comes the following: "The Centre for Applied Research in educational technologies at the University of Cambridge has signed a new partnership agreement with Blackboard Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBB).

"The agreement includes the adoption of the blackboard academic suite, participation in the blackboard learning system, NET beta program, and a university development partnership that will initially focus on building-out e-Research capabilities at the University of Cambridge."

I hear there's a fast-expanding English language schools sector for foreign students, if they're interested.
