Staying in... watch this

25th November 2005 at 00:00
The Story of Tracy Beaker returns for a fifth series, with Danielle Harmer, right, playing Jacqueline Wilson's heroine, who lives in a care home - she calls it The Dumping Ground - and is always getting into scrapes. Seven to 11-year-olds easily identify with Tracy, and the series can provide the starting point for a variety of work in English and PSHE. The BBC website has lots of teaching ideas: The new series starts on CBBC on November 28, 5.30-6pm.
