Students demostration

29th June 2001 at 01:00
(Photograph) - Studnets demonstrated at Thomas Rotherham College, Rotherham, Yorkshire, against noisy building work which is disrupting their exams. Principle Giles Pepler insists work on its sports centre must go ahead, despite clashes with exams. The college blames the volume of exams caused by the introduction of AS-levels and the need to complete building work on time. It says it will back those who ask the exam board to take any disturbance into account when marking papers.
