Forest fables

- Whispering Woods - Tales of the Caledonian Forest, by Alan Crawford, weaves together woodland ecology, lore, legend and myth. Funded by Ernest Cook Trust and Forestry Commission Scotland, 500 free copies will be sent to schools in Moray, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Copies will also be distributed through forestry education groups.

Asthma aid

- A new cross-curricular resource, Two in Every Classroom, aims to improve the health of pupils with asthma. This country has one of the highest rates of the condition in the world, says Asthma UK Scotland, but there are still misconceptions about the condition which lead to young people failing to achieve their full potential.
