Funding grows

- Schools and nurseries in the central belt can apply for pound;200-pound;350 from the Central Scotland Green Network Learning Outdoors Fund. The funding, now in its second year and supported by the Forestry Commission Scotland, can be used to develop an outdoor space or purchase equipment to encourage learning and playing outside, or support training.

Poppy power

- Poppyscotland is adding new materials and activities to its Sowing the Poppy Seed project for 2012-13, including two animated short films, a fundraising pack with outdoor banners and poppy seeds and a Poppyscotland page on Glow. The veterans' charity is also running its Moving Stories short film competition again. For details, visit bit.ly2nREIg.
