Coach academy


- Former Olympic and national coach Kelvin Giles and Scottish rugby hero, British Lion, now talent manager at the Scottish Institute of Sport Tony Stanger will host a Coach Academy in Oban, 1-3 February. It will give coaches and teachers resources to work with young people.

Perfect project


- Scotland's leading anti-sectarianism charity has launched a youth committee for 16- to 21-year-olds to develop and lead projects. "This will not be a talking shop; we have secured funding to support the committee's work and members will be free to decide how they wish to invest it," said Cara Henderson, who set up Nil by Mouth.
