Gold awards


The Duke of Edinburgh's gold award was presented to 18 young people from South Ayrshire at a ceremony at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh last month. "South Ayrshire is a leading authority for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award," said Councillor Hywel Davies, responsible for lifelong learning.

Ten new case studies of community learning and development can be seen on the Education Scotland website. The films illustrate current practice from Shetland to the Borders, focusing on achievement through learning for young people and adults, and achievement through building community capacity.
