Pressing issues

The Hansard Society has launched an online debate on press freedom, the hacking scandal and the effects of digital media. HeadsUp, its online forum for young people to explore political issues, also provides lesson plans and background information for pupils aged 11-18. The debate closes on 9 December.

Faith and 2012

The Church of Scotland's education committee has launched a schools competition to coincide with the London 2012 Olympics. Aimed at pupils aged 10-18, it explores issues of faith and spirituality. A commemorative Moderator's Medal will be awarded to the competition next year. http:tinyurl.com7wjfwe9.
