Susan Walsh, principal of Cardonald College in Glasgow

Where do you live?

Bearsden, having recently moved from the West End (to which I shall return when I'm a batty old lady with an incontinent West Highland terrier and a tartan shopping trolley).

What should there be more of in TESS?

I miss Jotter. Only a resilient and self-confident sector is able to poke fun at itself.

Who would you like to see writing in TESS?

Compton Mackenzie. He'd expose the pomposity of some, the humanity of others, and all with subtle humour.

What's the best thing we've done?

Made TESS a manageable document for reading on cramped trains, although your CfE coverage has also been excellent.

What would you be excited to see on the front page?

Elite university appoints first principal to hold HND - or vouchers for free chocolate.
