What do people not know about your job that they should?

It includes school-college liaison and 16-plus learning chances.

Why did you start subscribing?

A colleague and I were presenting at the 2009 Scottish Learning Festival, and Moray College UHI featured in TESS after that event.

What else do you read regularly?

Scotland on Sunday and whatever novel's on my Kindle. Following interesting people on Twitter often takes me on strange educational journeys.

Who would you like to see writing in TESS?

Lecturers from further education.

What would you be excited to see on the front page?

That colleges are returning to national bargaining.

What do you see as the big issue for Scottish education?

The number of young people coming to colleges with very poor literacy and numeracy skills.
