Suffolk - Cinema first for visiting Kenyans

6th August 2010 at 01:00

Kenyans visiting a Suffolk school on an exchange programme have enjoyed a glimpse of English school life.

Three pupils and two teachers from the Senior Chief Mwangeka School, north-west of Mombasa, visited Stradbroke Business and Enterprise College to experience life in an English school recently.

Pupils at Stradbroke took their guests to nearby Southwold for some authentic fish and chips, and then went to Norwich for their first trip to a cinema. Assistant head Karen Millar said: "They're finding the work easier and they enjoy being involved in lessons."

The Kenyans visited after a delegation of English pupils and teachers took a trip to their school, to experience education in Africa. IB.
