Summer rioters exclusion link

More than a third of youngsters involved in this summer's riots had been excluded from school in the last year, official figures show. Those involved in the looting and violence which swept English cities in August were younger, poorer and had achieved lower grades than average, analysis showed. But fewer than one in 10 of those arrested were gang members.
