Winners of this year's Education Resources Awards

The Education Resources Awards are the only accolades that recognise educational excellence across the board. Individual resources, suppliers, teachers and schools are all celebrated in the annual competition run by the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA).

The winners were announced last night at a ceremony held at the National Motorcycle Museum near the NEC in Birmingham where the Education Show is being held.

Highlights of the ceremony included the Outstanding Achievement Award which went to Andrew Denford of Denford Ltd, one of the pioneers behind the Formula 1 Teams in Schools scheme.

After the ceremony, Ray Barker, director of BESA and chair of the judging panel said: "Congratulations to all the winners. These awards celebrate all that is best about our educational resources and teachers. In the UK, a unique partnership exists between educational professionals and the supplies industry to create the best possible products - innovative, creative and always centred on learning and the real needs of teachers and children. Long may this choice and diversity thrive."
