Support staff strike threat

School support staff unions in Brighton are threatening to escalate their pay dispute with the local authority if it does not agree to a process of binding arbitration by today.

Unison and the GMB are warning that in around six schools teaching assistants will strike all week from January 17, with other schools in the area subject to one or two-day strikes.
