The Scottish Schools' Swimming Association named a squad of 45 for the UK School Games being held in Glasgow this weekend. The swimmers, all aged 16 or younger, are under the guidance of head coach Ann Dickson (Perth High). Two schools boast three representatives each: Lucy Ellis, Mairi Morrison and Eloise Barber attend Inverkeithing High; Robyn Matthews, Ewan Johnston and Daniel Lee go to George Watson's College.

The SSSA also announced dates of major events in the new season. The Scottish Schools' Championships will be held on January 28 at Tollcross pool in Glasgow, the Scottish Schools' Team Championships have been pencilled in for June 8, and the annual international against England, Ireland and Wales will be held in Dublin on March 9-11.
