Sympathy shortfall;Letter

8th October 1999 at 01:00
AMID the hullabaloo about inadequate funding for former GM schools let us not forget that many of them enjoyed considerable financial privileges over the rest of us by accepting the bribes offered by the previous Government in its attempt to sideline local education authorities.

It is rum indeed that whingeing is in the air as these schools return to the level of funding that the majority of state schools have struggled with for years. Please excuse me if I do not shed a tear.
