Seamus Heaney may have won this year's T. S. Eliot prize for his collection District and Circle. But he was beaten in a pupils' poll run by English and Media Centre, an advisory body for teachers, by Simon Armitage's Tyrannosaurus Rex versus the Corduroy Kid.
