Teacher assessment will replace Sats

* Teacher assessment will replace Sats at key stages 2 and 3, it was officially announced as TES Cymru went to press. Around 30 secondary schools in Wales have been piloting the new arrangements for assessing pupil performance, following abolition of the tests in 2004.

But complaints that the new system has added to workload were made in consultation.
