Teachers deserve a better deal on pay;Feedback;Governors;Briefing;Letter

IN HIS response ("A fair hearing for performance-related pay", TES November 5) to my article, Bob Doe appears to be suggesting that, although the pay scheme is imperfect, we have no better solution so governors should give it a chance.

Is he suggesting that we make do with a second-best solution because the decision makers have not put in the effort required to seek the best solution? If so, my only comment is: teachers deserve better!
